Staircases & Balustrades

Feature stairs, secondary stairs and balustrades built from your design intent - detailed, shop-drawn, finished and installed as one coordinated package.

Overview

What this capability covers

How we approach the work, what we make and how we coordinate with the rest of the design team.

How we approach the work, what we make and how we coordinate with the rest of the design team.

What we make

Straight, dog-leg and spiral stairs in folded plate or stringer construction, landings, handrails and balustrades with flat bar, rod, mesh or glass infill. We take the architect’s drawings and turn them into a stair that can be fabricated, delivered in sensible pieces and assembled on site without losing the detail that made the design worth building.

How we work with your design team

Every stair starts with a survey and a set of shop drawings. We mark up the questions early - tread fixings, slab edge details, how the balustrade meets the wall - so the design team can answer them before steel is cut. Junctions with other trades are drawn, not assumed.

For exposed work we agree a sample of the finish and one typical connection before production. It costs a week at the start and saves arguments at handover.
